Do nt call me Copper

It was a lovely start to the day so at just after 8 am we went down to the point for a walk. Easy to park and not many people around so it was very peaceful. I walked down to the edge of the water and I was surprised to see two young gulls that were completely camouflaged on the pebbles. One saw me and got up and had a stretch. It was actually warm enough for me to take my coat off. We sat on the bench and watched the world go by. I thought there may have been dolphins but just a seal ,a gannet, terns, swallows,a blackbird, sparrows and pied wagtails around.
On the ragwort small coppers were feeding. David's nick name is Copper, a name we gave him after watching a Punch and Judy show when he was about 4 when the Policeman puppet was called 'Copper' by Punch a number of times, 'do nt call me Copper' he kept saying, David found it really funny, we eventually shortened his nickname to Cop.
We missed the large pod of Pilot Whales that were seen about an hour after we left.
Looking forward to watching Bolts final race tonight, an end of an era.
Well done to the British Athletes that have got through to some Finals.
