a little bit of rhubarb

By Puggle

Recently over drinks the topic of old tv shows 'that did things nobody could get away with anymore' arose. Kenny Everett came up, and having confessed to owning a DVD, somewhat inevitably Saturday night sees my lounge room overflowing with the grown-up equivalent of a slumber party.

I hadn't seen it in years, and had forgotten about Tinselman. Others forgot about Brother Lee Love, Angry of Mayfair or Billy the Dancing Bucket.

But nobody has forgotten Sid Snot.

Thank you, Kenny. For your characters and jingles. For binding and gagging Cliff Richard. For introducing Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" to the world.

A toast! To a man who will never be forgotten.:-)
