Arachnophobics: look away now

Technically this spider is kind of friendly looking, with a smiley face on his cephelothorax/whatever it is. (did I remember high school biology correctly? Answers on a postcard please).

But he was honest-to-goodness the size of my hand. And he refused to move off the cheap timber laminate and onto a more photogenic background, so all in all he didn't come across as the most obliging spider.

My spidey senses just said "RUN!"

But you know what? You have to sleep sometime. And they know it.

Hence the smile.
