sanctuary ring

On Thornton Church door.

Ensuring sanctuary to anyone laying hold of it.

A nicer day weatherwise and we nipped back up to Thornton church. Mr I wanted a better look at this sanctuary ring.

I made a big pot of celery soup today. Most of it is in the freezer and we are also having some of it for tea with a home-made wholemeal loaf - currently filling the kitchen with a delightful aroma. Hungry now.
