A surprise boat trip!

The weather improved as the morning went on so I went to Ellesmere for a walk along the canal.

As I was walking back to the car I saw a friend of mine that is the stand in "captain" of Lady Katherine, the boat that takes people on trips around The Mere. He kindly offered me a trip on the boat. I'd been on it before but I was very happy to have another trip! It was great to see the birds as well as lovely views from the water.
