On the move aboard the Glacier Express

An early start from St Moritz ..... weather not too bad for our walk to the station.

An 8 hour train journey, on one of the most beautiful railway lines, to Zermatt. It was just a pity that the weather took a turn for the worse and it rained for most of the journey.

Not easy to get photographs today ..... the train just wouldn't stop for me and low cloud and rain didn't help! Plenty of gorges, tunnels, pasture land, farms, raging rivers (ideal for white water kayaking) and the most spectacular Landwasser Viaduct.

Too wet to explore the area around the hotel ..... that will just have to wait till tomorrow.
