Rainy Day Rose

What a difference a day makes. After yesterdays sunshine and calm the forecasted storm came in today with a vengeance bringing torrential rain and gale force winds. Not very conducive for any outdoor activity apart from trying to stop the containers of black bamboo plants from falling over. In the end it was easier to lay them flat on the ground until the storm subsides.

My neighbour still has some beautiful roses in bloom so I 'borrowed ' a couple and spent a pleasant two hours photographing them under artificial light before settling down for an afternoon of couch sport watching the Grand Prix and cycling championships.
