A bit wet!

An awful lot of rain in London and an awful lot of people in the British Museum - well, there would be wouldn't there - where else do you dump a coach load of visitors on a wet day - and it's free.

We haven't really had enough rain in Cumbria recently, so we thought we would go down to London on a day when the forecast was for proper rain, the kind that is torrential and goes on all day. 

Well, it wasn't quite like that! We just happened to be in London for the day on the very day that it rained solidly all day, for the first time in months and months. 

Despite that, we have a really lovely day and hardly got wet at all. We had two pleasant train journeys, a splendid lunch with our daughter (extra) who has a birthday in a few days and I got to see the Hokusai exhibition at last. Brilliant!
