Castle Crag, Borrowdale.

My first ascent and definitely the last! Julia Bradbury made it look so easy on TV. The spoil heap was scary but I only sat on my bottom once coming down.

The circular walk was probably not much more than 4 miles and with a pleasant easy return beside the River Derwent. 

I was rewarded for my efforts with milk shake and millionaires shortbread in Rosthwaite. I'm recovering now with a glass of wine.
