My wife found out about the Newhaven Festival toady, and given the glorious weather we cycled there as a family, with our little boy on my bike's back seat as co-pilot and our daughter 'flying solo'. From all the other bikes there, I don't think we were the only cycling family there.

We really enjoyed ourselves there. It was small enough not to be overwhelming, so we had enough time afterwards to take the kids to the play-park and Silverknowes Esplanade/Crammond for ice-cream. One of the organisers said this was their first year, but that years' ago Newhaven had festivals but they were orientated towards celebrating the fishing-folk.

This subject was one of the live performers. She seemed really young, but has actually been performing for a number of years. She asked that for a copy of the pictures I took of her, of which this was the best.
