Here's looking at ewe!!
The field in front of my house has some sheep in it.
From May until November the sheep are sent to the hills so that the grass can grow for winter feed. However the local crofter has put a few sheep in the field below the house. They are an odd bunch. Sometimes because of the huge scale of the mountains on which the sheep roam the odd one is missed at gathering time. The sheep in the field are a mixture, some of whom missed the gather for shearing and will get a "winter" shear. that is, a wee bit off the fleece but not as much as in summer so that they don't get cold. Some of them missed last years shear and have enormous fleeces!!
The rest of the sheep in the field are escapees trying to return home early!!
You can maybe see that there is another sheep lying behind these three. It looked like they were trying to hide it!! No.....sorry.....no sheep here!!!
Lazy day today....sunny and warm. Not so tomorrow the weatherman says, so had to make the most of it!!
