Appreciation (?)
I had to take heed of the alarm for the first time for a while this morning. Bailey was obviously in tune because he barked 20 minutes before it was due to go off. I'd also forgotten to put the bin out last night so ended up doing that in my pyjamas before 7am.
The early-for-the-holidays rise was due to the arrival of the carpet fitters and the need to move a few more things and remove Bailey before they arrived 'mid-morning'. It turned out that that part of the arrangement had been passed on to me but not to them as they were sat on the drive a little after 9:15 as I was out walking Bailey. The official Bailey sitter saved the day and came straight away to collect Bailey who did at least get to say hello. They then made short order of moving the last bits of furniture that I hadn't managed to move myself and then got rid of the old carpet from the hall and dining room, lay new underlay and new carpet all in less than an hour!
The OBS brought Bailey back and helped to adjust the furniture a little. And Bailey fully appreciated the new carpet by rolling on it. Not that you would necessarlily know that based on this look - which has more to do with the arrival of the camera than his appreciation of the carpet. He was clearly taken with the smell of it too based on his extra.
We also had a visit from the bestest friend and the favourite who had been cheated out of Bailey-sitting duties. Bailey was appropriately excited.
