Dog Olympic Games 2012 - day 4
I'm home! It has been a long day of travelling, but now I am home and I have the Hazyland boys and Bridie with me. Yipeeee! I've missed them!
Helle and I woke at 7 this morning. We had breakfast, packed our stuff and then we decided to go for a walk. We went to the beach, where the Dog Olympic Swimming Competitions were starting.
Today it was long distance swimming in the sea. Dog and handler had to swim what looked like about 500 meters as fast as possible. It was quite windy, so it looked challenging, but there were lots of life guards ready - very Bay Watch ;-)
These 2 dogs were waiting impatiently for their turn... Lovely, aren't they?
We were taken to the airport at 11 am. It took ages to check in/get to luggage drop off, but we managed in time!
We flew from Venice to Frankfurt and then from Frankfurt to Copenhagen. My dad met us 30 mins from Copenhagen with Beat and Bridie and 30 mins after that, I collected Hero and Biscuit. It was wonderful to see the dogs again.
I have back-blipped for the days I missed whilst I was in Italy:
* Day 1 in Italy: My hostess Karina with her beautiful red collie Darling.
* Day 2 in Italy - Aida, the naughty dancing dog.
* Day 3 in Italy - A collage of all the amazing dog sports I've seen. Frisbee dogs, dogs and handlers swimming together etc.
Bed time now - I am so tired.
Night Night!
