Nose Work Day

I met with Helle in the morning to train our dog dancing routines. We trained until noon and then Helle went for a walk and I drove to a sawmill outside the town. 

Biscuit had a Nose Work course from 1 pm to 3.30 pm. 

We met with 3 other dogs and the instructors at the sawmill and each dog did 4 searches. The other 3 dogs were all breeds made for hunting/tracking/searching, so I was sure they would be a lot better than Biscuit, but I am proud to say that Biscuit did some amazing work and made them all look like beginners :-D

In Nose Work the dog learns to search for a specific odor and find the source in 4 different environments: container (searching in bags and boxes), interior (indoors), exterior (outdoors), and vehicles. Today we did vehicles and outdoor searches. 

After Biscuoit's training, I took all 3 dogs for a walk and now we are home and ready for some Netflix.
