The First View!

The weather improved steadily throughout the morning as the sun forced its way through the early morning clouds.

I took the cable car from Grindlewald up to First ... very poor visibility on the way up but it was worth it as the Schwartzhorn summit was suddenly surrounded by an azure blue sky.

First is at a height of 2168m and there had been a significant snowfall earlier in the week and there was still plenty of the white stuff around for some folk to have a bit of fun.
