Kirkstone pass panorama
Spent the weekend up in the Lake district. Would be rude not too wouldn't it.
You can see why it has been awarded World heritage status.
Yesterday was a cruise up and across the region taking in the Hardnott, Wrynose and Kirkstone passes. A great days driving some of the best and most challenging roads in the UK and with a great group of people that we have made friends with over recent years.
Of course we managed stops at a couple of watering holes (no alcohol for the drivers of course).
The days started very wet but thankfully within an hour or so the clouds parted turning the scenery into its usual glory.
This is a 4 shot (hand held!) panorama stitched in PS. It covers nearly 180 degrees. The left hand side looks down towards Ambleside at the top of Windermere.
The extra is a shot from early in the day - you can see the transformation.
