Edinburgh Fringe
We got up early showered, had breakfast and set off to Edinburgh.
First stop was the garage where my other car sits since years. I still needed the engine number to finally send the paperwork to DVLA ..... I am glad that Donald and Alistair are quite relaxed about this car sitting there for so long. I really need to get it on the road before the 4th MOT expires .......
Then we went to Kevin and Fiona to drop off our stuff and walk to George Square to the first show we had booked.
The boys somehow lost us, mainly because they were faster walking. We just made it into the show. It was a Japanese magician/ illusionists show. Quite nice! We only had time for a quick coffee before show number 2 started. We split from our friends as their show was sold out when we tried to get some tickets on Thursday. We saw some amazing acrobatics instead. The show was called Driftwood. Loved it!
We met Kevin and Fiona again and walked to Dalry for our Dinner. We had booked a South African Restaurant and feasted on meat and red wine. In the end they gave us one bottle for free as our steaks were a bit too cooked for our liking but we did not want them to go to waste and did not send them back. They were still tasty.
After dinner we headed back into town - this time by taxi, in order to be timely in the queue for the last show, Hypprov, a mix of hypnosis with Improvisation. We had seen the show last year and I found it so amazing that I wanted to see it again. It is different each time.
We enjoyed that, although Neil and I thought last year's was a bit better.
It always rises and falls with the suggestions from the audience and the hypnotised people on stage.
It still was very good.
It was after midnight when we got out and we walked home.
We were still quite full from the load of meat we had, and we also did not fancy anymore drinks than water.
Back in the house we sat together for another while then called it a day.
I have hardly taken any photos. So the blip is one of the two ... and I opted for a bit of fringe atmosphere.
