Queen of Sand
We woke up and it was pi**ing with rain. Proper Edinburgh wet rain. And it was cold!!!
If we would not have bought the tickets already, we would have probably just driven home.
Instead we braved the weather and left Kev and Fiona short after 11am, after a relaxed coffee with them.
However, we did take the car to get into town, the rain was bad and we would have been soaking wet until we arrived at the venue.
We found a parking space close and were there 20 min before start.
Luckily there was no huge queue and we did not have to stand in the rain.
We were seeing the “Queen of Sand” - a Russian lady, who painted a story with sand - live to a narrative.
The story she put into pictures was “ 80 days around the world” by Jules Verne.
It was like a wonderful dreamy movie! It was amazing!! We gave her standing ovations!

It was so wonderful, a shame that the shows were not sold out. But it was her first time at the fringe - next year it will be better known!
After that we went back out in the rain. The weather was still awful.
We found a place at the Greyfriars cafe around the corner and had breakfast. Tasty omelettes with bacon and cheese.
Since it was so busy, we did not want to keep the table too long and went back out.
We found some shelter at the pleasance dome before we joined the queue a bit later for the 3 pm Show. It was called "Burn the floor” and a dance show.
This was an hour of fabulous dancing, ballroom dancing taken a step further. A fast, stunning and energetic show. 12 dancers and 2 singers.
Wow! Another amazing hour, where we found it hard to catch our breath.
Check their page here and make sure you will not miss them when in your area!
We were really lucky with our picks this year!
It was still raining when we left. We grabbed a quick coffee at BrewLab and then set off to go back to Glasgow.
Neil dropped me at my car and we drove home.
Tired from the busy weekend we decided to have a relaxed evening.
Blipping the Queen of Sand! both main and extra!
