Mercy mission
When clearing out Cornwall, I rescued a bike at DS#2's request which he has, very proudly, done up. Here he is all saddled up with CC, squinting into the sun and ready to go. "We'll turn right and go via the campsite to the top" were their parting words. Ten minutes later a text arrived, full of information saying "Got a puncture". No reply when I phoned but have no fear, I knew which way they were going and so got into the car on an errand of mercy.
Turn right and go past the campsite - no sign so they must have been going well. Head up the hill and get to the Auberge in 15 minutes - they must have been flying before the puncture. No sign.
Return back down to the valley and about ten minutes out get a call saying we've got home. Turning right had become turning left and paths had not crossed. DS#2's turn to say "My bad"!
As an aside, amazingly the world's smallest shop in Sablieres does stock inner tubes.....
