The view from my sleeping bag

At the end of my fifth day on Menorca, this was the view from my little encampment on the beach of Cala de Algaiarens. 

I had to end my hopes of completing the GR223, the long-distance footpath around the island, because my feet were badly blistered. I had made the fatal mistake of setting off with a new pair of shoes. 

So this morning I hired a bicycle with panniers, packed my minimal camping gear, and set off to see the rest of the island on two wheels. Cycling in this heat is bonkers, but I have had a wonderful day.
