Lighthouse at Cap de Cavalleria

This lighthouse is located at the tip of a headland at the northernmost point of Menorca, built upon the island's highest cliffs. Standing 94 metres above sea level, its light is visible from 22 nautical miles. Before this lighthouse came into operation in 1857, over 700 shipwrecks had occurred on this coastline since the 14th century. 

After another fabulous day cycling, I am again wild camping a few miles south of the Cap de Cavalleria on the beach at Platja de Cavalleria.
