..Day.

I forgot to mention yesterday that we said au revoir to Simone. Her dad has lived in Cognac for 10-15 years and it was a good opportunity for her to go and visit him. He came to pick her up bearing gifts of homemade beer and macaroons. He also mentioned that it was a lot cooler than it usually is. Although it has felt warm to us I think it is normally a lot hotter.

Today we visited Perigueux, a city of cobbled streets and pretty shops. We managed to shelter under a canopy of a very old house when there was a tremendous downpour.
