Was the wait worth it?

Opening session at the international sociology conference in Buenos Aires. As you can see it was not a bundle of laughs. Not sure why I never learn to avoid the plenary sessions. They are always self congratulatory, egotistical and awful. This proved no exception. To draw attention to the fact the event has not been in Latin America since 1983 was not something I would have not draw attention to. Hi we've come back after 29 years, iss that not great, something to celebrate !
