On the beach

I gave Jack a lift to the station to catch the 7.24am train. He travelled to Bath to meet his university friends and to check out his new house. Anne had asked me to go for a run with her this morning but I sent her a text as soon as I woke up to say that I still wasn’t feeling 100%.  It was a nice day with a blue sky all day. The girls and I went to the beach after lunch and we met the Karen, Anne and the kids there. The wind had picked up and it was quite cold at times. The kids had planned to go swimming but they said the sea was too cold. At 4.30pm, I had an appointment with Carys at the kitchen shop to discuss our new kitchen. She has priced everything up. Anne, Karen and the kids came over at 6pm and we had a bbq in the garden. We sat outside for a couple oh hours until it got too cold.
