The Girls Day 3
Today was to be a lazy at home day, necessitated anyway by the need to examine the loft where we now think there may be a leak Causing the boiler pressure to drop. Mr L spent a long time up there, moving all that thick fluffy stuff, working out where the joists and board were to be able to get across the space to check all pipework. it is to our shame that all we have really done since we moved in two years ago is throw things like suitcases, Christmas decks et. Up there and not really familiarising ourselves with the layout. All done now and although it was clear there had been some sort of water leakage, it is not doing it now, so for the moment Mr L is keeping an eye on it!
Woke Megan at 11:30, I know she would have moaned for waking her if I wasn't her grandma, but she puts up wit,h me! Mollie had been so good all morning, entertaining herself I gave her the option of how to spend the afternoon. She chose Dymchurch (renamed as Grimchurch by a colleague)! £10 for tokens to ride the ghost train, twister, bumper cars and log flume, £8 for ice creams and two hours later we were back home! It could have been worse, at least we managed to keep her out the arcade!
During the morning she had decided she wanted to make a decoration for her room with shells. She googled (this child is 7)! How to make a hole in seashells and then had me hitting nails with a hammer into her shells. The picture is a Dog walk with Mollie at the waters edge looking for more suitable shells to add to the string!
Finally, although On leave I check my emails and today, at long last I got the news I was hoping for....we got the Sandford Award, with a commendation. I am so pleased. The report is fabulous and I am relieved and happy.
