Flower Friday

I managed my walk around Trentham Gardens before a day of catching up with dad. Getting keys cut as he's lost his, buying a table for him so that he can eat his meals more easily, and doing some washing for him, as it's hard for him to climb stairs to his laundry room in the flat where he lives. But he was feeling better today and I was relieved.

This is one of the poppies in the flower meadow at Trentham and the extra is a longhorn beetle.

We were out for a retirement meal tonight. One of our friends has just left the police service at aged 50! I don't think there are many jobs with such an early retirement age.
