Hythe Venetian Fete

A very lazy morning doing very little whiling away the hours until the afternoon start to the Hythe bi annual festival. The floats were all fabulous, so much work put into them! There were 28 in all and one of my favourites was the thumbnail of Noah's Ark. it takes an hour for the floats to be towed to the end of the canal and then back on the other side, and those children put on a show the whole time. Everyone puts so much into this event. Once they had all gone round there was an hour's break before the fireworks (which we couldn't see because of the trees) and then the floats, all decorated with lights did another float up the canal. We watched half of this and headed home as Mollie was tired and Mr L grumbling about the time it would take us to get out the car park!!

Just realised its after midnight and the date has published as the 17th instead of 16th, so dates swapped as I can't seem to edit it!
