Greatham Old Church

Which you'll remember from an earlier blip dates back to the late 1200's. The covered part is the chancel and apparantly contains an "intereting marble and alabaster monument to the memory of Dame Marjory Cary".

I think it's a really good job that someone decided that they would do something for her memory because whilst Google offers me a Marjory Cary, I'm not sure it's the same one who is found on facebook ....

She's not even in my 1881 encyclopedia - and everyone is in my 1881 encyclopedia. Except people who weren't born. Or people who no-one had ever heard of. Like Marjory Cary!!
