First light across the La Trobe Valley

The Latrobe Valley is situated in Gippsland, south-east Victoria.  The valley provides 85% of Victoria's electricity (sadly, from brown coal). You will have spotted the power lines in the thumbnail. Despite this, it is a beautiful area nestled between the Baw Baw ranges to the north  and the Strzelecki ranges to the south, offering endless forest areas of stunning Mountain Ash literally soaring upwards to the sky.  Osuzanna and I have a cousin who has just moved into a new home overlooking the valley and these pics are taken from his front door.  I was up at first light and stayed for the following sunrise, watching the light changes across the valley over the next hour or so.  This was a novel experience for us as we live in decidedly flat country. We plan to return shortly for a longer stay to explore this enticing region further. I have put a couple of extras in to give you an idea of what we saw - the second extra should be first.
