Evening on Windermere

I drove back north from Dorset to the Lake District today. My mother is with me, at the beginning of a 10 day holiday in the Lakes. We broke our journey several times, the last of which was here, on Lake Windermere. The evening light was soft and the distant fells beckoned. Only 45 minutes to home..... but I am home already.
