Derwent Water

A murky day today. While waiting for a matinee performance at Theatre By The Lake in Keswick, my mother and I watched the comings and goings on the lakeshore. The ferry was busy as usual, and the ducks, geese and swans were ever watchful for tourists with little bags of corn. The distant fells looked atmospheric with popular peaks appearing out of the low cloud - Cat Bells (left) and Causey Pike (just right of centre).
