Cripes, I thought, when I looked out of the window first thing and saw this - never previously observed in these parts. "Untaxed vehicle", the notice says.

I spent more time than was reasonable or even bearable trying to book some Eurostar tickets (had to empty my browser cache, re-set my password, gnash my teeth etc etc) - and then be relieved of large quantities of spondulacks when it finally worked.

I suspect that we'll be awoken very early tomorrow by the clanking sounds of this car getting chained up and winched on to the tow-away truck.
