We eventually persuaded ourselves to plod up to the allotment where Dave mostly trimmed the hedge and I dug stuff up - weeds and grass mostly, as per usual. Quite a good crop of green beans this year, and the spuds keep on coming.

These everlasting sweet peas have no scent - but the bees don't mind.
