Reflections
In my district there are no bodies of water, apart from a braided river and a creek that dries up in the summer, to reflect the mountains. Therefore I am thrilled to find ponds and puddles that do the job after a heavy fall of rain. Most years are rather dry, but this winter has been unusually wet, forming little lakes in odd hollows. I found this one at Russells Flat beside the fettered pine. This is an interesting view of the mountains because the Red Peak is visible behind the southern flank of Mount Torlesse (see left). I cannot see it from my place.
I have blipped the fettered pine before. It is encumbered by the native vine Muehlenbeckia. See extra shot.
