Water, Water, Everywhere.

What a wet and unsettled summer we are having in the Lake District. One day sunny and warm, then six more damp and unsettled. This photo sums it up really. The bench stands on Sale Fell overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake and Skiddaw beyond. I have never seen such a big puddle here before, even in the winter. Five minutes after snapping this image, the heavens opened, the wind blew and horizontal rain drenched my shorts and T-shirt. More fool me for leaving my raincoat at home!
