Sourmilk Gill

I think there are two Sourmilk Gills in Lakeland, but this is the one that gushes down the fellside from Bleaberry Tarn into Buttermere. It has been very impressive recently with all the rainfall saturating the fells above. The National Trust has built a smart new bridge over the waterfall, near the lake, and rebuilt paths which were badly undermined by Storm Desmond. Every time I go down to Buttermere, people are standing on the bridge admiring the sheer force of nature.
