But With You By My side

It's funny how travelling a few miles up the coast changes the appearance of Arran so, very, very much. 

We have been at the allotment today, for a long while. We weeded and  weeded, relaid some net over the brussels, supported them a little bit.  D visited and gave us some mahoosive Courgettes, no sorry... Marrows.  and also some leeks.  

We dug up some potatoes, and potato and leek soup is on the menu for tomorrow.  We have a range of recipes for the marrows... Chutney, Potato and courgette gratin... and Zuchini Carbonara.  

It was after dinner time when we finished and washed up and we went out for dinner, which was perfectly lovely, but the service was not. It took me twenty minutes to attract the attention of the staff to ask for the bill, (even after we said "no nothing else thanks". ), and another fifteen minutes before we gave up and stood at the bar to pay the flipping bill. 

And now we are home.
