England-bound

This shot was taken as we were approaching Philadelphia airport on the first leg of our journey back to England. We were flying with American Airlines for a change, and we left Cincinnati about 1.15. It was a pleasant day with pretty good visibility. The view shows the Delaware River which forms the boundary between New Jersey and Philadelphia, with Petty Island beyond the bridge. We had a long layover in Philadelphia, so this gave us plenty of time to walk to the other gate to get some steps in, rather than take the bus, get something to eat while watching the planes, then settle down at the gate, where I read and did a crossword puzzle. Our next flight, to Manchester, took off roughly on time, at about 9 pm.
