The (Young) Pretender

We managed to get to the Scottish Parliament today for the last day of the World Press Photo Exhibition 2017 and as we were wandering around we came across this cylindrical mirror reflecting an anamorphic image of Bonnie Prince Charlie.

What I never knew was that this method of viewing an image was so that it could be hidden easily should the Jacobites be interrupted while toasting their absent king.
