Nothing holds that water back

It's been another terrible day of constant rain and high winds. Transport routes have been disrupted. Our dear friends, M & G, bravely set off by train at 0920 this morning, heading for the south coast. I suggested they go via Carlisle instead of Newcastle, but they were misinformed by station staff that there were no delays on the line south of Newcastle..............which was wrong. It took them nearly 12 hours to make their journey.

So sorry for people in Morpeth and Rothbury who have experienced flooding yet again.

My walk today was cancelled and I'm not sure what we will do tomorrow. How will we sort out all the routes for the Walking Festival.

We had a great show at the Photo Society tonight. Lots of us had submitted 3 prints on a theme. Cracking stuff. I found this umbrella outside the hall and snapped it. Then I've had a bit of Photoshop fun to cheer up a grey day.
