I think that one said to the other........

"what do you mean, I'm a messy eater??" (outraged tweeting)

There were long tailed tits in my garden this afternoon. They are rare visitors. I was on my way to set up the hide anyway, so I was full of hope that the tits would return. No such luck. I sat for an hour.

Instead, the chaffinches soon came and were very busy with the seeds in the grass. I like the detail in their feathers. There are many colours and you can see their downy feathers blowing in the wind.

I've had a day at home catching up with this and that (bit of stiffness after yesterday's long walk!)

I should come clean and say that they are two versions of the same bird...........
