Work Experience - Day 2

Hello Blippers! Hope your all well!

Today was my second day of work experience at Edinburgh Airport. It was so windy, there was red and white barriers being blown across parts of the parking lot!

It was quite similar to yesterday - I was just sitting, listening, watching and asking questions (By the way, if any of you would like me to ask any questions, I would be more than happy to! Seriously!).

There were some interesting landings in the first half an hour or so (I start at 10 instead of 9), including a FlyBe plane that sort of bounced, and a KLM (from The Netherlands) that almost hit its wing on the runway. It got quite bad, so the ATCO's had to it out a sort of warning, so that other pilots would know what to expect.

There was also a diversion from Aberdeen, meaning a 4 hour bus journey for some unlucky passengers. Apparently, they didn't have enough fuel to 'hold' at the airport, because Aberdeen was getting a lot worse weather than us.

Apart from that, it was very similar to yesterday. The people are very nice, and very helpful. I'm really going to miss it when this is finished!
