Banff!

We had a good last day in Banff, despite the crowds. We started off by trying to get to Lake Louise. Now, Lake Louise is a truly gorgeous place and space and if you find yourself in the Rockies I would urge you to go. On this day, however, the crowds were immense, the heat intense and we reckoned that didn't make for a good combination. I promise to Tim to go back another time.

Instead we went for a hike in a gorgeous forest that we had pretty much all to ourselves - bliss! We did very little else except pose for silly photos. :-)

In the evening we went back for the same delicious meal we had the night before. The smoke in the air had started to soften the edges of the mountains. I really feel for those thousands of people in the interior of BC battling the forest fires.
