The Lookout

We went to the beautiful gardens in Kilmuir this afternoon. The Lookout is a lovely house just by the shore with amazing views over the Firth and beyond. Like last year we came on their final official Open Gardens day although you can phone and visit at other times.
Wonderful gardens on a slope with areas of Rock exposed.The buddleias were heaving with butterflies, mainly peacocks but a few Red Admirals and large whites. One was a Yellow Buddleia and the other white neither of which I have and the lady very kindly gave me a cutting of each.
I spotted a frog in the pond. We sat on several benches in the sunshine and enjoyed looking at all the plants. After we sat in the courtyard and had tea from  teapot, scone with butter and homemade jam and a banana oaty cake thing.
We went to Munroes after and bought three buddleias for the top of the garden, hope the butterflies find them.
