Damson harvest

Today's the day ...................... for a helping hand

On this day last year, there was a very special event going on.

A year on, the happy couple have taken themselves off to celebrate their first anniversary and we have Dominic here on a sleepover.  We went for a long walk this afternoon up on to Kendal Fell where Dominic had great fun playing about in the long grass.  Will is trying to turn him into a little botanist - and he does seem to be fascinated by wild flowers.  I had to laugh though when I heard Will say something along the lines of " ........ No, Dominic - don't mangle it.  Look at it, identify it and smell it."  A bit of a tall order for a two-and-a-half year old perhaps!

Anyway, he was very helpful to Will as he picked the last of the damsons.  You just never know what might come of all this tuition ....................
