for your amusement & edification:
a sample of irate locals posting on FB 27/28 August 2017
#prayforlulworth #bankholidaybollocks
"Popped to village shop for milk and bacon. Loads of locals stocking up on supplies early, before the invasion. Bread almost sold out. Milk stocks low. Cones out on driveways. Heard stories of visitors triple parked on double yellows. At least three road-rage punch ups. Emergency services delayed.*** An hour and a half to get three miles to Winfrith.”
"Digging in to await the onslaught of moronic hordes. I have restocked on coffee, wine and baccy, the dogs are loose in the garden, and I've got plenty of ammo. I should be able to hold out until tomorrow! Git orf moi laaaand!
"If anyone is thinking of coming to Lulworth today, don’t bother. We’re full!”
"Three rows in my road just as we were outside loading kayak. Roads now almost at standstill- was so dangerous even walking 100 yards out of my house. Kids nearly got run over several times."
"The fuckers have even snapped the lock on the gate into the grain store. There are about 50 cars parked in there. Has anyone got Watkin's phone number? He'll go fucking spastic and start dragging them out with a tractor.”
"The car parks were all full by midday. They were double parked all the way from the village shop to Marley Barn. People were even breaking open gates to park in the fields. Watkin's farmhands had to give up the harvest because they couldn't move their vehicles."
*** sadly a man died due to the illegal parking and density of traffic.
this is truly disgraceful behaviour from visitors wanting to enjoy our village. if we came to their homes and behaved similarly .....
some pictures taken by a friend to show the village lane madness - this was only part of it....
