Into the blue ...
No doubt lots of people have flown off into the blue today or are maybe they are on their way back, lots of others may be enjoying the Bank Holiday roads but I was out early with my neighbour enjoying a lovely local walk under blue skies.
We walked about four miles through the woods and past our local waterfall. On the way back I looked up and saw this 'Saltire in the sky' so made it my blip for today.
The cloud to the left was a clue to what happened when I go at home - yes the cloud rolled in but it stayed dry and Chris got the grass cut. I didn't mind as I had jobs to do.
Made a sourdough which is now on its second rising in the fridge so I can bake it first thing in the morning. I was a bit worried last time I made one as I felt the rise wasn't as good as it should be but I think I have managed to revive the starter.
I've also made some sunflower flapjack. Some of it is for my son. He is coming for a post birthday tea soon and we are having steak followed by strawberries and ice cream with flapjack. The sourdough is to take to my daughter's tomorrow.
The sun was back this afternoon and it is set building and quiz night that both Chris and Alex will go to so that means an evening in to myself - a perfect end to the day.
Hope you've all had a good Bank Holiday if you are in England and Wales, I have and I'm glad we haven't been sat in any traffic jams.
