Last of the heather?
A month on from our Yorkshire Day walk around Oxenhope we repeated the walk this morning. Duller than last time but reasonably warm without the wind of the last couple of days.
I felt this might be the last time I see this year's heather up close as some of it is already starting to turn. Thought the tint florets woul do fro Tiny Tuesday.
Lovely Rowan berries, blackberries, rosehips all proclaiming the new season and bringing colour as well as toadstools along the path.
Taking the steep bath down to Leeshaw Reservoir on our way back to the village Rose54 got out her magic stick! She's had some trouble with this before but now knows the trick to getting it to stay rigid now - extra.
Lovely walk again thanks V for organising again and Wilsden Walker for the lift.
