Scope
The Scope Equestrian Festival, this year is being held in Oswestry, Shropshire, so I'm accompanying Emma and Nelson for a few days. Emma's boss has given her the horse lorry so we have a place to sleep and cook. Unfortunately the shower doesn't work, but we'll manage!
Her mum, dad and fiancé made it over for the first class, so it was a bit disappointing that Nelson chose now to start knocking fences down. I mean, it only cost £100 to enter ( usually it's more like £20-£30 at smaller shows ) ... Very frustrating!
Everyone left before the evening class, so we had to relay the news that he'd had 2 fences down in that one.
It was 10pm before they'd finished jumping, so we were pretty tired. It had rained all afternoon and evening and the ground was now just a mud bath.
Then we discovered there were no lights or water in our area of the stables ... oh the joys of equestrian events! By the time we'd sorted out Nelson and made it back to the truck, we didn't feel like eating much so I was relieved of my cooking duties, just coffee, cake and bed!
