Silage.
I needed a blip and I needed to drop something off on Kanyl so it was a "kill two birds with one stone" soft of trip. On the way I thought I would try to get a shot looking across the Eden valley. As always what you see isn't as god when it has got through the lens. What I needed was some foreground interest. Then I spotted this field of third cut silage.
The curve of the rows of cut grass caught my eye, it is a pity the gate isn't the old wooden one. It would be a bit late for haymaking, not that there is much hay made round here, so in a day or so the field will be full of bales in plastic wrapping. Starting the fermentation process which turns grass into silage.
